Helpdesk System

In tune with the policies and decisions of the State Govt. for strengthening the capacity
building activities and for the effective formulation and implementation of the 11th Five
Year Plan of local governments, a Help Desk System in the State level as well as in the
District level have been instituted and functioning since July 2007.

The help line team is constituted with potential resource persons who have expertise
and field level experience in local planning, and participatory development, local
governance, participatory implementation and monitoring of development projects,
public works management and financial management of local governments. The elected
representative and employees of LSGIs and other stakeholders are free to contact the
Helpline team for getting clarification on any issue or practical problem over phone or
in writing on public administration, decentralised local planning, implementation,
accounting, auditing, budgeting, public works and services through various line
departments. The helpline services are now being extended to all LSGIs by constituting
panchayat help desk team.
