Faculty position in Social Development
Essential Qualification:
The Faculty with basic qualification of M.A. in Social Science (Sociology, Social Work, Environmental Sociology). The faculty needs to have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Minimum three years experience in designing and implementing training and capacity building.
- Minimum three years field research experience in the area of local governance, watershed development, development of marginalised communities and poverty alleviation.
- Knowledge of the planning process in local governments.
- Ability to build capacity and train various stakeholders.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English & Malayalam.
- Good computer skills.
Desired:
Experience and knowledge on the issues of marginalized communities.
Knowledge of environmental and social safeguard framework.
Contract
The contract is intended for a period of one year but likely to be extended based on innovations, if any, evolved during the tenure. The faculty is eligible for a consolidated pay of Rs 20,000 pm.
